Rapaport Weekly Diamond Price List
A Rapaport weekly diamond price list in addition to the standard list will be published by the Rapaport Group they announced last week.
Rapaport is the bench mark for diamond prices in the west and runs a comprehensive list of diamond prices for traders and dealers. It seems they are looking to branch out into the retail field
The weekly list will sum up the best and average asking prices for several diamond categories. The new list will offer independent asking price figures while reflecting daily market forces and discount information.
Rapaport also announced its intention to offer new RapNet Asking Price Indices (RAPI) for D-H color, IF-VS2 clarity diamonds in sizes ranging between 0.30 and 3 carats.
Rapaport also noted: “The new RapNet Price list will enable increased transparency as it provides standardized discount information to the diamond trade.”
Diamond prices perked up with polished prices reaching a four week high last week.
The strongest gains were with the Fine and Mixed qualities.
